Things To Do in Corning NY
(besides looking at Lotus cars!!!)

Corning is one of the nicest small towns in the USA. Very interesting with great things to do!
While you are at LOG 33, you may want to check out the following attractions:

(click on any of the pictures to take you to the website for that attractions)

Included with the Gaffer District, and only a 12 minute walk away from the Radisson, is the Corning Museum of Glass.  The Museum offers demonstrations of glass making alongside their collection of glass art galleries.  The special collection during LOG33 is based on the artist/jeweler René Lalique and more information can be found at: http://www.cmog.org/collection/exhibitions/ren-lalique-enchanted-glass#.URa7E6U1nK0.  Information on Hot Glass shows can be found at: http://www.cmog.org/glassmaking/demos/hot-glass-show/museum#.URa9S6U1nK0 and a video of the show in action can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZ-CM9Mvr08

The Radisson in Corning sits at the end of E Market Street.  E Market Street, combined with the surrounding neighborhood, is housed within the “Gaffer District.”  This district has [x] restaurants, [x] shops, and [x] locations for activities.  No matter how picky your taste may be you will be able to find a restaurant, bar, or activity that suits your needs.  Most locations are within a 10 minute walk of the host hotel. Click on pictures for more info.

Just east of Corning are two musuems that will appeal to you if you are into aviation and history of aviation. The National Soaring Musuem and the Winds of Eagles War Plane Musuem are both located near the Elmira Airport and worth a visit when you are in the area. Click on the photos to take you to their respective websites.
Glenn H. Curtiss is the "father" of Naval Aviation. A pioneer in aviation second to none, including the Wright brothers, founded the Curtiss aircraft company that later would later become the Curtiss Wright aircraft company. This musuem is one of the favorites of the LOONYs. Located in Hammondsport, west of Corning, this is a really agreat Musuem and well worth the time to see it. At of this writing, I am working on getting a special discount for the LOG attendeees.
